Finally I've got round to the post I promised el_staplador I'd post months ago. Maybe I've finally got the focus because of an episode from season 2 of The X-Files where it gets mentioned. The use of blood in rituals is ancient and covers many cultures and traditions through time, both symbolic and actual (I'm paraphrasing rather than quoting Mulder).

I'm sorry, but Evangelical Christianity is really frustrating me at the moment.

Their attitudes to Catholicism is really frustrating me. On several occasions while I was at home people from my home church went on a rant about how Catholics aren't Christians (worship the saints as idols, worship Mary (same reason), heretical, blasphemous). ( Read more... )
